National Insecurity

Jared Kushner is a threat to our national security.

Jeff Session’s Justice Department compliantly rolled over when it came to nepotism laws by allowing Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump to work out of the White House and get top secret security clearance.  Kushner, the deep in debt owner of 666 5th Avenue, and Ivanka Trump, who recently trademarked voting machines in China, have no national security education, training or background (hobnobbing with oligarchs and spies of hostile nations notwithstanding).

When a person conducts foreign policy for the United States, they speak for us, they cut deals for us, they work for us.  Jared and Ivanka both maintain their private businesses and clearly use the position to enrich themselves. Neither has demonstrated that they have the good of the nation in mind. They’ve both lied and cheated their way through life as members of multigenerational grifting families. Jared is a billion-dollar-in-debt slumlord while the President’s daughter was involved with Trump properties in Vancouver, Panama and Baku, all under investigation for money laundering. That they’ve been granted security clearances or any role whatsoever in the federal government is absurd and dangerous.

Jared Kushner should not be involved in our country’s foreign policy. This is the guy who tried to set up a secret back channel to Russia with Mike Flynn (who will be going to prison) so they could sell nuclear technology to the Saudis. He led a foundation funding illegal West Bank settlements. He gave top secret intelligence to the Saudi Crown Prince to use in a succession battle. It’s been reported he encouraged Saudi Arabia’s Qatar blockade to extort a loan for his 666 5th avenue disaster.  All this pursuit of private profits for himself, family and friends will have unintended consequences at our expense.

The most immediate consequence is a betrayal of our intelligence sources and methods.  One can only imagine how compromised communications are by hostile powers, and I’m not including the dozens of mobsters and spies they have in their phone contacts. The information he shares with dictatorial and corrupt associates allows them to see what we know and figure out how to blind us. The medium term consequence will likely be a disastrous engagement with Iran at the behest of his Saudi and Likud puppet masters. The long term consequences will be a further crippling of US institutions and legitimacy caused by our leadership being bought and paid for by foreign agents of the plutocratic insurgency.

Kushner and Ivanka are active threats against the security of our nation – Kushner was/is intimately involved in the scheme to nuclearize Saudi Arabia.  Congress needs to do its oversight job and peel this pair open like an onion. We have a right to their communications in the conduct of “government” business to see how much damage they’ve already done.

Jared and Ivanka do not belong in our government, they belong on a witness stand.
